Lael Cakes @ Haven's Kitchen!


We are very excited to share that Lael Cakes will be offering baking and decorating classes at Haven's Kitchen. Our first class will be held this May 19th at 1 pm. During this class Emily of Lael Cakes will demonstrate the basics of making a layered vegan and gluten-free cake. Using a variety of alternative ingredients and in-house recipes that she has developed over the last decade, Emily will cover methods of substituting refined sugars, saturated fats and dairy. This session will also showcase Lael Cakes unique blend of non-gluten flours for the perfect replacement to traditional pastry flour. Emily will show students not only how to mix and bake a delectable vegan and gluten-free cake but will also demonstrate how to whip up the perfect icing to fill and decorate your cake.

Martha Stewart Weddings Fall 2013

Last fall we had the pleasure of designing the perfect cake spread for our dear friend and colleague, Matthew Robbins, botanical inspired wedding in Cold Springs, NY. Three of Matthew's favorite wallpapers, by Graham & Brown, were layered to form the backdrop for the trio of gluten-free and vegan madagascar vanilla cakes with ginger icing.

Micaela & Guy

This past summer we worked closely with Micaela & Guy to design this trio of gluten-free cakes for their wedding at The Foundry in LIC. They are such a vibrant, beautiful couple it wasn't hard to pull inspiration from their love to create something extra unique and special. 


We were honored to have Les Loup capture these gorgeous photos and our dear friends from Poppies & Posies style them.
